SuperSize Croquet (formerly Toequet) is soccer ball croquet, played by kicking soccer balls through giant wickets. Add regulation weight mallets, and you’ve got MalletBall. The equipment was developed to enable satisfactory play of wicket games on long grass, soft beaches, and other “found” surfaces, as the big balls tend to smooth over surface irregularities and long grass that would make play with conventional equipment impractical and not much fun. SuperSize Croquet sets come with nine wickets, two stakes, and 4 or 6 colored soccer balls as well as net carry bag, air pump & rules/instructions. Croquet players don’t need special mallets to play MalletBall - their own 2½- to 3-pound mallets work just fine. The Toequet Company also produces two heavy mallets: the “Universal” with a 28-inch shaft and a very broad face to enable center hits on the soccer balls; and the “Monster,” designed for specialty shots to aid in the most rigorous and varied circumstances of Xtreme Malletball. Supersize Croquet and MalletBall make wonderful—and inexpensive—gifts with broad appeal for anyone who loves games. WORLD CLASS CROQUET TURF WR ENTERPRISES Wayne Rodoni produces custom precision championship hoops fabricated from solid heat-treated 4140 alloy chrome-moly steel bars. The hoops are made to exactly three and eleven-sixteenth-inch inside dimensions with five — eights-inch uprights and three-quarter-inch crowns which greatly increase the resistance to twisting while being driven into the turf. The bases have four blades on each upright with blad sizes designed to suit individual soil conditions. The hoops are treated with gloss white over cured power-coat finishes which are chip resistent and very durable. Prices range from $575 for single sets to $550 for multiple sets. Rodoni also manufactures wicket clamps to hold hoop uprights at adjustable widths while being driven into the ground. The hoops can be clamped and unclamped in less than 10 seconds, and the clamp includes a wench for adjustments. Cost is $150 each. |
