USCA High Performance & Talent Development Program

Mountain Lake, Lake Wales, FL

February 11-13


The United States Croquet Association HPTD Program participants will compete and train at Mountain Lake in Lake Wales, FL February 11-13.  The three days of competition matches are sanctioned / ranked matches for inclusion world ranking systems.  The program is designed to prepare players to be a part of Team USA and playing at international level, this event will combine the top young talent in the nation with seasoned Croquet veterans and deliver peer review and coaching post-game.  Participants / Coaches /

Players will include:

USCA First Vice President and former top-10 player

Damon Bidencope

USCA President, multiple time National Champion, prior Team USA member

Matthew Essick

Multiple time National Champion, World Championship Runner-Up, Team USA member

Blake Field

Two time National Championship runner-up in singles and National Champion in Doubles (at only 15 years of age)

David Maloof

6 time National Champion, World Championship Runner-Up, Team USA member

Kyle Maloof

3rd Place at USCA GC National Championships 2021

Stephen Morgan

Multiple time National Champion, Team USA member

Paul Neubecker

Rising young star

Multiple National Champion (21 titles), Team USA member

 

Mountain Lake Director of Tennis and Croquet, Kyle Maloof: “It’s a unique experience to host this many top level players outside of the National Championships. We are fortunate to host the USCA on our three new world class lawns.”

Daily monitoring, mowing, rolling, and proper IPM practices have ensured that it is ready for the best players in the world. Joe Sichler, Mountain Lake Croquet Committee Chair: “We named the recently completed lawns in honor of David Maloof, the now retired Croquet and Tennis professional of 43 years at Mountain Lake. The Croquet Committee is honored to host this exceptional group of award winning players at our first invitational match of the season and to have David in attendance to officiate the event.”
