Scissortail Invitational

16 participants competed in the annual ScissorTail Oklahoma Championship, June 12-16 at the Oklahoma City Golf & Country Club, hosted by the club’s ScissorTail Croquet Club. In addition to local members, players came from Tulsa, Dallas, Houston, Memphis, TN, and Missouri. The competition was challenging but friendly. Everyone managed to survive the afternoon heat. There also was lots of good food and social time together.
Championship flight winner: Conner Helms, George Peterkin: runner up. It was double elimination during the playoffs. George managed to battle his way up to the finals through the consolation bracket after one loss. The matches were exciting to watch.
In First Flight, Suzanne Spradling had no losses in the playoff bracket to advance to the finals. Carl Archiniaco had only one loss (to Suzanne) in playoffs and came back to defeat Suzanne in the finals winning two consecutive matches. It was quite a battle!
