We had a great tournament with players from all over the country and a week of beautiful Maine September weather. We started the week with a reception and BBQ dinner in the new Woodlawn Barn with 50 people in attendance on Tuesday evening. On Wednesday and Thursday, 38 people played 9W doubles using our Big Lobster rules on 4 courts set up at our Woodlawn croquet lawn. It was most fun having the entire group together at one venue and enjoying the weather, having lunch together, and learning the challenge of this 9W game. Following, are the results of the  9W doubles:

On Friday evening, we had a lobster dinner  and on Sunday noon during the 6W finals, the players were treated with fresh lobster rolls. It was a great tournament and everyone had a great time. I will follow up  this e mail with some photos of the flight winners.  Let me know if you have any questions on the tracking points report. James Peasley who is a 15 handicap played very well and went undefeated in block play and has an excellent grasp of the rules and strategy. He earned 46 tracking points and I would recommend that he be moved to at least a 12 handicap before he plays in the tournament at the Chesapeake Bay Croquet Facility next week.

Thanks.
