The 2026 USCA National Collegiate Golf Croquet Championship Results
April 25th and 26th the USCA’s National Collegiate GC Championship were held at the Merion Cricket Club in Haverford, PA. 5 colleges came from around the United States to play this year event with a total of 28 students. Saturday was cold, windy and rainy but everyone team got to play 5 blocks matches. One St. John’s team of Dalton Olsson and Henry Stockman came out of the block 5-0 giving them top seed and a bi into Sunday’s playoffs. A new team from the University of Maryland (Isaiah Winger and Fransico Echerria) came to play. Going 4-1 in the block giving them the 2nd seed and the bi on Sunday.
Sunday’s playoffs were intense with several games going to the hook. The number one seed lost in the semifinals to the defending Champions from Oklahoma Wesleyan’s own Asher Scantlin and Luka Nettleton. In the other semifinals match, the number 2 seed from the University of Maryland Isaiah Winger and Fransico Echerria were down 6-4 against Oklahoma Wesleyan’s Evan Rogers and Josiah Wyatt. The team from Maryland battled hard and scored 11, 12, and 13 for the win putting themselves into the finals.
The finals came down to the University of Maryland’s Isaiah Winger and Fransico Echerria vs. Oklahoma Wesleyan’s Asher Scantlin and Luka Nettleton. It was an extremely intense match with a lot great shooting and strategy. The game went to the hook, with Oklahoma Wesleyan coming out on top. Making Asher Scantlin and Luka Nettleton back-to-back Champions.
Thank you to all the players who came out this year. Everyone played great! The strategy and shot making was the best I’ve ever seen. Special thanks to the Merion Cricket Club for hosting this year’s event! Thank you so much to Whitney Thain for all of your support of the College Division.
