The Falls Invitational tournament was held April 21^st-23^rd at Highlands Falls Country Club in Highlands, NC. This tournament was limited to 16 players, consisting of 2 flights of 8, a Championship Flight and First Flight. This consisted of players in the Highlands-Cashiers area from numerous local clubs. The tournament began with two days of block play to determine seeding for the knockout rounds. Both flights were very evenly matched. The Sunday knockout rounds featured some excellent and exciting games. First Flight Final featured Brooklyn Ellenburg, the Pro from Highlands Country Club, and Dan Horton, member from Burlingame. The match was very competitive, and Brooklyn was able to pull out the win 7-4. The Championship Flight game was an intense battle between Highlands Falls’ own Pro, Darin Guffey, facing off against Country Club of Sapphire Valley’s Pro, Mark Kucharski. The match was very tightly contested with many long roquets and hoop running. The match concluded on a thrilling jump shot on hoop 11 from Darin Guffey to take the match 7-4.
